Produced by Topps. Riding on the coat tails of the movie which came out the same year, this set reprints the classic Batman cards from the 1960s. Manufactured only as a 143-card factory boxed set containing the base set Black Bat (1-55), the puzzle inserts set Red Bat (1A-44A), and another set of puzzle inserts Blue Bat (1B-44B); each card is clearly marked as being a reissue, with the card backs marked 1966 Deluxe Reissue Edition and Reissued 1989. Furthermore, the fronts have an illustration with white borders, and the reverse sides, with story narratives.
